Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GCENA mobile application and related services ("GCENA", "the app", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using GCENA, you agree to these Terms.

1. About GCENA

GCENA is a social and emotional wellness platform that includes AI companion chat (Ciel), personal profiles, friend messaging, community feed, and optional premium features. GCENA is built and operated by GCENA.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use GCENA. If you are under 18, you should use the app with permission and guidance from a parent or guardian. You must provide accurate account information and keep your login secure.

5. User content

You keep ownership of content you create (posts, messages, photos, videos, comments). By posting content in GCENA, you grant us a limited license to host, store, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate the app — for example, showing your post on your profile or in Campfire when you choose to share publicly.

You are responsible for the content you post. Do not post content you do not have the right to share.

6. AI companion (Ciel)

Ciel is an AI-powered companion built by GCENA. Ciel provides automated text responses for conversation and emotional support. Ciel is not a human, therapist, doctor, lawyer, or emergency service. See our Disclaimer for important limits.

7. Subscriptions and billing

GCENA may offer a premium subscription (currently €4.99/month, subject to change and local pricing). Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. By subscribing, you also agree to the store's payment terms.

8. Voice calls

If you use Inner Circle voice calling, calls are between users and are subject to your network connection and device permissions. We do not guarantee call quality or availability. Do not use GCENA calls for emergency purposes.

9. Moderation and enforcement

We may review reports, remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm the community. You can report problems to support@gcena.com.

10. Intellectual property

GCENA, including its name, branding, design, and software, is owned by GCENA and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of GCENA intellectual property.

11. Disclaimers

GCENA is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that the app will meet every personal need. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GCENA and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to GCENA will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or €10 if you have not paid anything.

13. Termination

You may stop using GCENA and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for legal or safety reasons.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws in the jurisdiction where GCENA operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply where required by law.
